A larger percentage can coexist with a shorter sleep block. Missing durations remain missing; selected posts are not a complete baseline or time series. A wearable estimate is not a clinical sleep-stage measurement.

How the stack began
Described starting with Pinealon and Vilon during six-on/six-off work, then reporting less reliance on coffee, better perceived sharpness and mood, and feeling less depleted after returning home. Later expanded to a multi-compound stack.
Retrospective self-report without a controlled comparison. Perceived recovery and symptom changes do not demonstrate tissue healing or increased life expectancy.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗A planned work-hitch experiment
Listed a planned stack for the next period at sea and said he would report back after three weeks.
A plan is not evidence that every component was used or that an outcome occurred.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Early peptide preferences
Named Vilon and Pinealon as personal favorites in the stack, especially at work.
Preference only; the quoted animal-study discussion is not a human outcome.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Rest and perceived need for coffee
After reporting about five hours of off-watch sleep, said he felt good and did not feel an overwhelming need for coffee.
Concurrent sleep and multiple compounds confound attribution. The report does not establish adequate sleep or an isolated Bromantane effect.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗About a week and a half into the work stack
Reported more agile cognition, feeling less tired and work feeling easier while using several compounds during six-on/six-off work. The original post explicitly calls the report anecdotal.
Multiple simultaneous compounds, changing workload and sleep prevent attribution to any component.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Bromantane and Pinealon stood out early
Recalled Bromantane and Pinealon as the first two compounds with a noticeable subjective effect at sea, before Cerebrolysin and the broader stack.
Retrospective impression; research analogies in the post do not establish the cause of the experience.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗A competing attribution after adding Cerebrolysin
Reported that poor sleep caused by noise or docking felt less disruptive on the following watch than on previous trips, and tentatively attributed the change to the newest compound, Cerebrolysin.
A new component is a hypothesis, not an isolated effect. Feeling less impaired does not demonstrate preserved objective performance or adequate sleep.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Considering different combinations by work context
Said he planned to try Bromantane plus Bemitil at work, and separately Bemitil plus Picamilon during a navigational watch.
Prospective intention; no result or safety conclusion was reported in this post.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Which compounds felt most useful at work
Described Pinealon, Cortexin and Bromantane/Bemitil as the highest-value parts of his work stack.
Personal comparative impression, without standardized outcomes or isolated interventions.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Earlier sleep-block observation
Posted total sleep, deep and REM estimates during the ongoing work schedule. Values below are transcribed from the public post.
Selected wearable estimate, not a complete daily sleep total, controlled baseline or clinical sleep test.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗An early repeat reading
Reported 4h 12m asleep, with 49m deep and 1h REM. The post described four successive restorative totals after adding Cortexin, without a controlled baseline.
Values transcribed from public post text, not a raw WHOOP export.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Nootropil during a six-hour watch
Reported preferring the subjective effect of Nootropil to modafinil in his work setting, describing clarity without feeling excessively stimulated. Explicitly called the experience n=1.
Subjective preference is not proof of improved task accuracy, safe watchkeeping, or a favorable drug comparison.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Interest in Bemitil plus Trekrezan
Expressed interest in trying the Bemitil–Trekrezan combination discussed in the research.
Not a documented trial or outcome.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗After the midnight watch
Reported 4h 40m asleep and 2h 42m of WHOOP-estimated deep plus REM sleep while working six-on/six-off.
The percentage describes this sleep block, not total daily recovery or adequate sleep.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Fatigue remained part of the record
Responded to a WHOOP fatigue-related warning and compared the work situation to the Bromantane/Bemitil fatigue research.
The post does not provide a standardized fatigue result or prove the stack prevented fatigue.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Feeling better after a vessel change
Reported getting extra sleep during a vessel change and still feeling good with Bromantane plus Bemitil after a missed day of sleep.
Extra sleep is an important concurrent change. Feeling good does not establish unimpaired performance after sleep loss.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Picamilon added to a broader stack
Reported a subtle positive mood and focus effect after adding Picamilon, and described Nootropil as helpful on high-effort days. Listed a broader stack and a planned later switch from Cortexin to Cerebrolysin.
Several concurrent agents and a planned change prevent isolation of a Picamilon or Nootropil effect.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗The pattern across naps and main sleep
Reported a recurring pattern around half of sleep classified as restorative across naps and morning sleep. This is the author’s series description, not a reconstructed complete dataset.
No complete denominator, baseline series, or raw measurements available in this record.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Another possible contributor
Reported restorative sleep around 40–50% and wondered whether Bemitil might also contribute.
The proposed attribution is a personal hypothesis. Concurrent compounds prevent isolation of an effect.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗A higher percentage during a nap
Reported 67% restorative sleep and noted that naps seemed to have a higher restorative percentage than longer sleep blocks.
Reported percentage only; total duration and stage minutes have not been transcribed.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Higher reported REM
Described almost 60% restorative sleep and a high-heat, high-strain workday with multiple compounds mentioned.
Approximate wording is preserved; no exact percentage is inferred.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗A demanding cargo-work watch
During hot deck work involving hoses and stiff valves, reported a positive mood and feeling less tired than on previous occasions. The post explicitly acknowledged only two experiences with the combination.
Self-reported experience under uncontrolled conditions. No standardized workload, objective error rate or physiological protection outcome was established.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Below the earlier trend
Reported the first night below the earlier 40–50% range and questioned whether the perceived residual effect was fading.
A later decline is included to avoid showing only favorable observations.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Follow-up: deep and REM below trend
Reported deep and REM below the earlier trend, while still taking oral Pinealon and Epitalon. Wondered whether the perceived Cortexin effect was more acute than persistent.
Competing explanations include schedule, workload, other compounds, natural variation, and wearable classification.
Read @PepMariner’s original post ↗Workload, perceived sharpness, and strain
The post explicitly noted only two data points, questioned differing strain under apparently similar conditions, and proposed cumulative effects as a hypothesis. Its quoted prior update described better mood and perceived sharpness during hot deck work.
No blinded comparison, matched workload, objective error measurement, or isolated-compound effect is available. This does not establish heat or occupational protection.

Cause and effect
There is no randomized withdrawal, blinding, stable comparator, or isolated intervention.
Confounding
Watch schedules, naps, workload, heat, other compounds, and normal night-to-night variation can change the observations.
Generalization
One person’s experience does not establish efficacy, safety, adequate sleep, or fitness for safety-critical work.
