Study findings
The multicenter pilot reported greater changes in sperm concentration, motility and morphology with Pineamin than with L-carnitine. Aging Male Symptoms scores also declined modestly. No adverse events were reported in this small sample.
- Population and setting
- 60 men with pathozoospermia; Pineamin versus L-carnitine; three months
- Evidence type
- Randomized trial
- Preparation
- See the original report; formulation details require verification.
- Source language
- Russian
- Title source
- Title as recorded in the linked source or index. A separate original-language title has not been transcribed unless shown above.
Study limitations
- Active-comparator pilot without an established blinded placebo comparison.
- Semen parameters are surrogate outcomes; pregnancy and live-birth benefits are not established. Absence of reported adverse events is not proof of safety.
Publication counts are not counts of independent trials. Reviews, translations and reports sharing participants may overlap. Findings apply to the studied preparation, population and endpoints.
